Umm. Eww
Okay, I know this can't be very uncommon, but it's gross. Five minutes ago, I changed a HORRID smelling diaper. I mean, my nose hairs are still feeling the effects of it and smoking from being singed so badly. I know that's gross, but it's not what I'm talking about. I've been changing diapers for four years and can pretty much stomach anything one throws at me. Although, I do hope a stinky diaper never actually throws anything at me. Anyway, back to the topic. After I changed his diaper, Conner was sitting in his Mater chair watching Manny on tv. He's not even two feet behind me at the computer desk. He's literally RIGHT there. Okay, so I notice that he's not talking to Manny and I turn around to see if maybe he fell asleep. Nope. He's not there. So my next instinct is to look towards the kitchen because he likes to dunk his toys in the water bowl. Now, please keep in mind that we have four animals that drink out of this water bowl. A beagle, a chihuahua, and two cats. My black cat is so picky that the bowl has to be constantly refilled throughout the day because he won't drink out of it after another animal has. Don't ask me, it's something new that he's started doing over the past month. If he wasn't so cute and loving I'd skin him. But I digress. Anyhow, I look up and sure enough Conner is in the kitchen. I start to tell him to get out of the water bowl and out of the kitchen when it dawns on me what I'm really seeing. Conner is down on his hands and knees and drinking out of the water bowl like one of the animals. Of course, that made me want to gag worse than him putting the cat poo in his mouth yesterday. He just looks up at me and smiles when he hears me admonishing him. Then he just casually strolls into the living room and says, "Daddy at?" I mean, it was like he wasn't even drinking out of the water bowl. I don't think I could have put my face so close as too even smell it, let alone lick it. I will never understand kids.
